ESA to release free VR title for journalists missing the E3 experience.

So with E3 beeing cancelled by the Entertainment Software Association this year, to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus, the ESA have decided to step up and release a totally Free VR game on all major VR game stores to help make up for disappointment many will feel over the lack of an E3 this year. According to ESA spokesperson Olaf Prilo their new VR title will replicate the quintessential E3 experience many have come to love over years of attending the convention updated to fit with modern ideas and integrating concepts based on what they had hoped to include in the 2020 E3 convention. West Sweety | Review - a premise that goes south quick

Oh right I'm doing these little blurb things again so they look better in the sidebar than the jumbled mess of prices and other details. Well West Sweety is a game I can only say really ends up going south with the promise. So while everyone else is looking at doing the 25 best games of the decade I decided not to do that in part because I'd rather not pick a few games to hold up high and have people try to copy the genres or style when they could instead innovate and create the next big thing the likes of which no-one though possible. Additionally while a good game can be good the year it came out then be surpassed by others later and I think it's a little unfair really to look and try and compare games that could be close to 10 years old to ones 10 months old or less. Many games build upon the foundation laid down by others and so a game that basically made a genre hugely popular like PuBG can easily be surpassed by another game like Fortnite coming along, do we deem Fortnite to be considered more worthy than PuBG for being a game that works better on a technical level or should we be rewarding the innovators who were some of the main people to create the rough templates of a new genre o...

Hit Zero: Chronos | Review - If Neil Breen made a knock off Hideo Kojima game

How much time must a reviewer put into a game before they can review it? How far must a reviewer get before their review can count as valid? I made it to the final boss of Hit Zero: Chronos and spent the past 2 hours on it. I nearly quit before then when I spent a good 45 minutes in a previous boss because it kept bugging out. I can't even tell if the bovine excrement that is happening is an intended part of the fight or just the game breaking as there's a load of weird meta stuff going on with the game so I don't know if the final boss removing the core mechanic of the game being able to slow down time is intended or just yet another in a long line of issues in the game. So Jim Sterling put out a video about how Gamer (TM) boycotts don't work. Now there are some good points raised by Jim in the video about how often it causes talk to focus on the success of the boycott or failure rather than the issues at hand. However you usually only hear about the boycotts that fail, this is a nasty little thing that some of the gaming press and their past 5+ years of being butthurt, has helped perpetuate to own "Dem Gamers who we don't like because they don't blindly follow what we tell them to". My hot take on Amazon Luna - it could flop harder than Stadia

So I'd consider myself pretty into Amazon stuff. I'm not the most hardcore of devotees but I have an old Kindle Fire Tablet, a Fire TV box and a Fire TV stick I had before the box, my father has a Kindle E-reader and based on my recommendations over the years he now has 2 Amazon Fire Tablets and my mother also has an Amazon Fire Tablet. So that shows I have some level of affinity toward them. So Heather Alexandra of Kotaku put out a piece on about recurring arguments in the video game industry which you can read in archive form here because I fully believe it was outrage bait of one kind of another. However on the unlikely chance this is actually a good faith attempt to have said arguments and not merely preach at people I thought I'd write a response.
