New year changes are coming.

So I've had this new blog up and running for a little while now. I've been filling it with content and while no-one is using the comments section (you know it's open right you don't need an account) I have been seeing people turn up and read my nonsense so some people stuck with me and to you all I say thank you. I am still planning to write something about what happened with Destructoid and some of the BS from that because I see no reason to play nice anymore but this isn't what this blog post is about. This blogpost is to tell you what I hope to get done here, to do here and what you might see here going forward.

Firstly as you might notice by this blog the first major change is going to be running the text in large rather than normal size from now on. It's my belief that this improves readability  of the text and hopefully others will be happy with it too as at large size it's closer to the size used on most other sites online and even the default text size appearance on word. I have debated updating the older articles but I don't know if it's truly worth it as it might require some additional re-editing of picture placements etc.

Secondly I'm working on getting some kind of easier to use social media sharing buttons, there are buttons that let you do it near the bottom of each blog but a site even a blog like this relies upon people sharing stuff to grow a bigger audience and nice clear share buttons might help.

Thirdly I've been trying to implement drop down menus for a while and plan to work on those to allow people to better navigate the site and select the content they want to browse more specifically be it reviews, editorial and any other specific kind of content. I did experiment with them for a time but I was having trouble and disabled some of the aspects. If I get time depending on real life stuff I do want to spend some time coming back to the idea and getting them working and fitting in with the style of the site so far.

Finally I'm considering putting in Disqus as a comment section system so more people might use it as people don't seem to want to use the blogger one and that's fair enough but I've not decided if I will do it yet so if that's something you want feel free to @ me on twitter and say you'd prefer it if you want.

As for what's coming up and future content. Initially as it's January and people will have exams or going back to work etc and traditionally on the internet views will be down I'm going to be putting out stuff but it may not be as consistent and as the year goes on it might not keep the same pace I have been keeping up. What I do have planned is this month I want to get my annual kicking the old year out the door piece done where I look at all the fuck ups and stupid stuff from the industry in the previous year. I'm also going to be putting out a list of the 25 worst games of the last decade (in my opinion);  there will of course by my normal Game of the Year awards which as it's a new site I'm calling my game of the year awards the ENies which will of course be followed by my shame awards 2019 for the games that I think deserve a boot or too. Other than that I'm hoping to carry on with the reviews, I have a few games from last year I played and didn't review or didn't finish and want to review; I've got another 2nd chance Cinema planned and hopefully I might get to finish the long awaited Critical Floor writings on the franchise Gravity Rush.
